About us

Bristol Inclusive Climbing is a volunteer-led charity founded in 2018. We provide 1:1 inclusive climbing sessions at Redpoint Bristol for young people facing barriers to accessing regular exercise. Our sessions use climbing to build confidence, well-being, and a sense of community. 

Overview of role 

We’re looking for a proactive and creative volunteer Social Media Coordinator to help share the energy and fun of our sessions. You’ll capture session highlights, create content, and keep our socials updated. 

What We Need From You 

  • Available to attend at least 2 sessions per month, ideally Thursday evenings (6:30–7:30pm) but occasional Sunday mornings (10:30–11:30am) would be a bonus. 

  • Create and schedule posts and stories using Canva, video editing apps, and scheduling tools. 

  • Manage and maintain our photo and video library using Flickr. 

  • Proactively respond to comments and messages to keep our community engaged. 

  • Bring creative ideas to showcase the fun and inclusivity of our sessions. 

Who You’ll Be 

  • Part of (or familiar with) the climbing community. 

  • Bristol-based and able to attend sessions regularly. 

  • Confident with social media tools (Instagram, Facebook, Canva, video editing apps, scheduling platforms). 

  • Organised, reliable, and respectful, ensuring you handle content sensitively, considering safeguarding, consent and inclusivity at all times.
